Located in the northeastern region of California, Lassen County was formed in 1864, with a county seat Susanville. Its unique terrain consists of the beautiful Sierra Nevada, Cascade Mountains and the desert of the Great Basin. Lassen County offers a wide variety of activities – from waterskiing and fishing at Eagle Lake to horseback riding in the high desert areas and skiing in Lassen Volcanic National Park and Lassen National Forest.
